I Am Dave White

Dave began his musical journey at the age of 9 learning to play the bagpipes. At 13, Dave took on the guitar and formed and played in various bands playing: – pop, rock, soul and jazz – quite an eclectic mix, and performed in amateur musicals, and community events such as The Sydney Olympic Bid Celebrations, City Festivals, and charity events during his school years.

In 1995 Dave began playing professionally and from then until now Dave has worked in every conceivable situation you might think of and venue for that matter. From the early stages where he worked as a musician in tribute shows to Elvis, Johnny O’Keefe, Neil Diamond, Buddy Holly, John Farnham, Kylie Minogue, Shania Twain and others. 

For the past 15+ years, Dave has become the most in-demand entertainer in Sydney, from his unique solo acoustic performances looping, in his acoustic duo, as well as his power trio and party band, and covering pubs, clubs, weddings and corporate entertainment variances.

Dave has supported such artists as Choirboys, Brewster Bros(Angels), Marcia Hines, Angry Anderson, Brooke McClymont, The Foundations(Build Me Up Buttercup) Daryl Braithwaite and more, and has worked major and minor venues everywhere from Cairns to Melbourne and all the way across the world into Europe.

Dave has performed gigs on all levels, with all people. 2006 saw Dave perform 320 shows for that calendar year, an amazing effort! In the last 10 years, (including the cv19 period), he still managed to perform 2500 gigs, extroadinary considerign the entertainment in australia was shut down essentially for 2 years, yet a testament to his popularity, ability, hard work, and a willingness to bring joy and fun to people’s lives through music!

Dave’s popularity has been proven through the repeat and resident performances he has had over the past decades. 

11 years at Northies (Cronulla), 7 years at 3 Wise Monkeys Hotel, The Observer Hotel, The Orient Hotel, Side-bar (12 years) The Star – Casino, and the list goes on. Not forgetting the weddings, function’s and corporate performances as well.
Dave’s years of experience, his youthful exuberance, and his entertaining nature is sure to have audiences of any age on their feet dancing and singing with his mesmerising vocal ability and captivating performances.
